About the role:
You will be responsible for the activities of the lifecycle asset management team. This includes fleet management, replacements and maintenance planning, and budget management for those activities. This is a functional leadership role, you are leading by doing, as well as coordinating the team. The work includes introducing new ways of modelling asset health and risk, developing 20+ year plans, setting standards and monitoring delivery for maintenance and replacement programs, and ensuring the assets meet their performance requirements such as safety, operability, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Asset Managers and a Network Assets Condition Manager.
- Asset lifecycle planning, including maintenance, replacements, and budget management.
- Enhance asset performance through data-driven decision-making and modern software tools.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality systems.
- Collaborate across teams to support program delivery and continuous improvement.
About you:
You’re a proactive and collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment. You bring a strong understanding of asset management principles, ideally within the electricity distribution sector. You are confident building and using data, models, and systems to drive smarter strategic decisions. You’re organised, decisive, and passionate about continuous improvement—always looking for ways to enhance performance, safety, and service.
Additionally, you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Proven leadership experience in asset management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electricity distribution assets and lifecycle planning.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with business and asset management software.
