About the role: 

If you have a passion for working outdoors and enjoy working as part of a team, then this could be the job for you.  Providing a service to the local community, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Cable Jointer to join our Underground team. The role undertakes the safe and efficient delivery of a range of cable jointing and termination functions for both high voltage and low voltage power cables.  Some manual civil work is also required as part of this role.

About you:

Applicants must hold a current NZ Electrical Registration, and EWRB practicing licence. Proven cable jointing experience within the electricity supply industry is essential. You will also have:

  • an absolute commitment to workplace and public safety
  • a strong customer service focus
  • a high level of physical fitness and confidence working at heights
  • competent at understanding work plans and instructions
  • excellent communication skills
  • a positive, constructive attitude

MainPower requires all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment drug test.
