About the role:
We are seeking a qualified distribution Line Mechanic to join our Overhead team to undertake maintenance and capital works on our overhead distribution network. Some manual civil work is also required as part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electricity services according to project specifications
- Safely isolate, test, and earth electric lines and equipment, and operate HIAB-type crane trucks and elevated work platforms (EWPs) at height
- Conduct tailgate briefings, identify hazards, and maintain vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are reliable and safe
- Read plans and drawings, complete work to standards, handle associated paperwork, and participate in after-hours fault rosters
About you:
Our Ideal candidate will be physically fit, confident working at heights, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills. A positive, proactive attitude is essential to contribute effectively to our team and community. You will be a safety-conscious individual with a strong customer service focus.
Additionally, you will bring:
- EWRB Distribution Line Mechanic Registration and a current practising licence
- Experience in Overhead line work
- Live line experience would be an advantage
- Current Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers Licence
