About the role:
We’re looking for an Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle, performance and risk of key electricity distribution assets. You’ll turn asset data and technical insights into practical maintenance, replacement and investment plans that support a safe, reliable and resilient network. The role can be shaped to suit applicants at different career stages, from graduates with strong potential through to experienced asset management professionals.
In this role, you’ll help keep our electricity network humming by:
- Developing asset management plans, maintenance strategies, replacement programmes and associated budgets
- Using asset data, health and criticality models, and performance insights to support sound investment decisions
- Monitoring maintenance and replacement programme delivery, budget performance and the handover of assets from design through to practical completion
- Managing asset risks, investigating equipment performance and failures, and developing contingency, spares and decommissioning strategies
- Collaborating with teams to keep things running smoothly
About you:
You’re analytical, curious and comfortable working through complex technical problems. You use sound judgement to balance cost, risk and performance, communicate your thinking clearly, and work collaboratively to turn plans into results. Whether you’re beginning your asset management career or bringing established industry experience, you’ll be motivated to build your knowledge and contribute to a safe, reliable network.
You’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (engineering or similar)
- Experience in asset management or a related technical field, or the ability to build this capability through strong analytical skills and relevant study
- Knowledge of electricity distribution assets and infrastructure, or a strong interest and ability to develop this knowledge
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards for electrical works would be an advantage
- Confidence working with data and contemporary business software, with the ability to learn new asset management systems quickly
- Clear written and verbal communication, strong planning and prioritisation skills, and the ability to build constructive working relationships
