Engineering Internship - Summer 2026/27

We’re offering a paid Engineering Internship over the 2026–27 summer break. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work alongside industry professionals, and see how your studies translate in a real-world environment.
You’ll join a supportive team and contribute to meaningful projects that help deliver a safe, reliable electricity network for our North Canterbury community.
About the role
As an intern, you will:
- Work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists
- Gain exposure to different areas of our business
- Build practical skills and professional experience
- Contribute to real projects that make a difference
About you
To be considered, you’ll:
- Be currently studying Engineering
- Have completed 2–3 years of tertiary study
- Be curious, motivated, and keen to learn
- Have the legal right to work in New Zealand (residency or valid visa required)
What you need to know
- Our head office is based in Rangiora (not Christchurch)
- Internships run approximately November 2026 – February 2027
- We have a mandatory shutdown period of around two weeks over Christmas and New Year
