About the role:

This Rangiora, North Canterbury role assists the Underground team by safely operating equipment for underground electricity installation, trench excavation and reinstatement, and managing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain underground electricity services, including excavation, reinstatement, and material handling.
• Safely operate vehicles and machinery (e.g., excavators, diggers, trucks).
• Interpret plans and drawings to meet project specifications.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and support general utility work, assisting plant operators, cable jointers, and team members as needed.

Additionally, you will have

• A minimum class 1 driver licence.  Class 2 and Tracks (T) and Forklift (F) endorsement desirable.
• An absolute commitment to workplace and public safety
• An ability to understand work plans and instructions
• A strong customer service focus
• An ability to work constructively in a team.
